FAQs

  • We set the routes with clearly-labelled colour circuits so you always know where to start. We keep a broad mix of easy, flowy problems and tougher, more technical lines. Routes are refreshed regularly, so there’s always something new to try.

    What you’ll find

    • Beginner, intermediate and advanced circuits (all clearly marked)

    • Varied styles: balancey slabs, overhangs, volumes and foothold-friendly lines

New here? Ask for a quick orientation when you arrive.

    • Use your legs. Big pushes from your feet save your arms.

    • Hips to the wall. Keep your centre of gravity close for balance.

    • Read the route. Look at the holds before you start; plan 2–3 moves ahead.

    • Rest often. Shake out between attempts—good climbing is stop-start.

    • Down-climb when you can. If you jump, land with bent knees and roll.

    • Chalk lightly. A little goes a long way.

    • Ask us. Staff are happy to demo moves or suggest a starting circuit.

    First visit checklist

    • Complete the waiver form and quick safety briefing at reception

    • If you have a pre-existing condition, please let us know before climbing

    • Ages 6–17 must be supervised by an adult (18+); ages 4–6 require 1:1 supervision with no exceptions.

  • Comfy sports kit you can move in. Climbing shoes give the best grip (bring your own or ask about hire). Bring a water bottle; keep food off the mats.

“The climbing routes have been well designed by John and with him updating the wall regularly it means there will always be a new challenge”
