1) Who we are

This website is operated by Hampshire Fitness Centre (“HFC”, “we”, “us”). Questions? Email info@hampshirefitnesscentre.com with subject “Cookies”.

2) What are cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website work, remember preferences and understand usage. We also use similar tech (pixels, local storage).

3) How we use cookies (categories)

  • We only load non-essential cookies with your consent.

  • Essential (required): security, login, checkout, load balancing. The site won’t work properly without these.

  • Analytics (optional): aggregated stats on visits and behaviour (e.g., Google Analytics 4) so we can improve the site.

  • Functional/Marketing (optional): remember preferences and, if enabled, measure marketing performance (e.g., Meta Pixel). We don’t show third-party ads on the site.

4) Your choices

On first visit you’ll see our banner with: Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences (toggle categories). You can change your choices anytime via Cookie Preferences in the footer. You can also block/delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may then not work.

5) Cookies we set / may set

Essential (always on)

  • Squarespace: ss_cid, ss_cpvisit, ss_cvisit, ss_cookieAllowed – session & security

  • Member Areas / Login: session tokens to keep you signed in

  • Checkout/Payments: Stripe/PayPal cookies during payment flow (fraud prevention, session continuity)

Analytics (optional)

  • Google Analytics 4: _ga, _ga_* – visitor metrics (2 years / 90 days variants)

Functional/Marketing

  • Meta Pixel: _fbp – measurement/attribution (90 days)

  • TikTok/Other pixels: similar attribution cookies (varies)

Scheduling / Bookings

  • We don’t control third-party cookie lifespans; see their policies: Google, Stripe, PayPal, Meta, Squarespace, Squarespace Scheduling (Acuity).

6) Lawful basis

  • Essential cookies: our legitimate interests in providing a secure, functioning site.

  • Analytics/Functional/Marketing: consent (you can withdraw anytime via preferences).

7) Children

We don’t knowingly profile children. Parents/guardians can contact us to manage a child’s data.

8) Changes to this policy
